How to fix a slow or choppy DanceLogo preview

Live preview speed depends on the selected animation effect, canvas workload, GPU, device memory and other browser activity. Complex particle, fragment and 3D effects can use reduced preview detail while final export renders exact frames locally.

Before you start

  • Save the project before troubleshooting.

Steps

  1. Close other GPU-heavy tabs and pause unrelated downloads or video calls.
  2. Replay the animation after the effect engine and source finish loading.
  3. Reduce the number of fragments or copies when the selected effect exposes those controls.
  4. Try a smaller export size or lower frame rate for the final render.
  5. Compare with a simpler motion to separate a device limitation from an asset problem.

Expected result

The preview becomes responsive enough for editing, or the test identifies a specific heavy effect or device limitation.

Common problems

  • A smooth final export can still differ from real-time preview because exports calculate exact frames rather than relying on tab playback timing.
